Small-Balaton
One of the most special landscapes in Hungary, extraordinarily rich in natural and cultural values, the Small-Balaton can be found next to the Keszthely Bay. It has a significant wildlife (vegetation, fish and especially birds), and currently is part of the Balaton Uplands National Park. It is a must for nature-loving guests.
Hévíz
Hévíz is a quiet small town in service of recreation and healing, which is situated only 10 km away from Keszthely. Hévíz can thank its popularity to its dual nature, as it is a world famous healing place (the largest natural thermal lake of Europe can be found in the town) and a preferred wellness resort at the same time. The two towns are connected with a bicycle route, and so it can be a perfect destination also on two wheels.
Cycling
The Balaton bicycle route runs 100 m away from our pension – by cycling on it you can get to know this wonderful landscape also from another side. On the bicycle route you can get to Hévíz, which is situated 8 km away and is home to the world’s largest healing lake. The braver ones can cycle to as far as the Small-Balaton.

Keszthely is a real paradise of culture, where 14 museums and permanent exhibitions await tourists: Doll Museum, Bacchus Wine Museum, Balaton Museum, Cadillac Museum, Georgikon Experience Farm, Museum of Inventors, the Hungarian Agricultural Museum’s Georgikon Grange Exhibition, Marzipan Museum, Nostalgia Museum, Radio and Television Museum, Surber’s Museum of Automatic Musical Instruments and Phonographs, Trophy and Historical Model Railway Exhibition, Vidor Toy Museum.
Festetics Castle
The symbol and pride of the town, Festetics Castle is the third largest castle in Hungary. The area of the castle also gives home to the Carriage Museum and the Trophy and Historical Model Railway Exhibition. The huge, 500 m2 model railway table is the absolute favourite of children. These sights are a must if you are in town.
